Grocery are becoming unaffordable at the stores and farmers are not making any more money but retailers and wholesalers profit have significantly increased over last 3 years.  This is leading to believe that retailers and wholesales are unfairly marking up their profits. That is making it impossible for poor people to afford groceries to feed their families. I have attached a picture showing $19.99 price for a 10Kg bag of flour that was used to be $8.99 just a couple of years ago.  This flour is made in Canada using Canadian wheat. Farmer's profit has not gone up.  This increase in prices is mainly due to increase in profit by processors, wholesalers and retailers. Most of the meat, salad, fruits and other vegetable prices have almost doubled over past couple of years.

As Bank of Canada is increasing interest that is giving reason for landlords to raising their rent.  https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/toronto-couple-shocked-when-rent-increases-25-per-cent-1.5782765 .  This is increasing the population of working homeless.  Interest rate increase is not reducing the inflation for food and accommodation that is the minimum requirement for people to survive.  It is adversely affecting poor population.  When the interest rate is higher people that were going to buy large house will buy smaller house and people that were planning to purchase small house will move to rental property, increasing demand for rental market, causing the interest rate to go up and make it impossible for poor people to afford the rent, leading them to working homeless population. 

Higher home prices are because of lack of housing inventory in the market.  As the interest rates are going up people are buying fewer home and builders are build less homes that is further reducing the housing the inventory on the long run that will increase the prices even higher.  

Increasing interest rate is not reducing inflation, it is just shifting from one type of cost to other type.  This is slowing the home construction that is decreasing demands for workers such as framers/plumbers/electricians, consequently they will make less money but large corporations such as banks and apartment building owners will make more money. By increasing interest rate we are taking money out of working class and putting it in the pockets of large corporations

Interest rate hike is not reducing food inflation and rents that is hurting poor people.  Please immediately stop the interest rate hikes and investigate grocery retailers and wholesalers.   To deter corporations from making unfair profit, there is heavy fines (in billions of dollars) for price gouging.
