The Issue

PETITION TO DENY the Temporary Use Permit Application #: P22-0497 to install a residential recycled water fill station at 5997 Parkside Drive submitted by Dublin San Ramon Service District (DSRSD); and further to RETRACT any contractual agreements that may have been authorized or approved for this project at this site.

  • DSRSD has requested a Temporary Use Permit to install a residential recycled water fill station comprised of seventeen (17) stations within the parking lot of Zone 7 property located at 5997 Parkside Drive.
  • Users would be primarily comprised of anyone within the DSRSD service area-Pleasanton,San Ramon, Livermore and Dublin.
  • Entrance to the proposed project will be from Hopyard Road via Parkside Drive or via Arthur Drive to Parkside Drive.
  • Access to the site would require those utilizing Parkside Drive to make a U-turn at the Arthur Drive intersection OR drive through one of the Circles to then go westbound on Parkside.
  • The ONLY access for Parkside residents to their homes is via Parkside Drive or Arthur Drive to Parkside.
  • Signs will be posted for no stopping or waiting along Parkside Drive, forcing waiting vehicles to idle within the neighborhood.
  • No Traffic or Air Quality studies were done in review of this application.
  • There is an existing station at the DSRSD property on Stoneridge Drive that previously was used for this express purpose.
  • In order to prevent significant impact and injury to the residents of Parkside homes, we respectfully ask our City leaders to deny this application and work with DSRSD to identify an appropriate location.
