I'm an advocate for animal rights because I believe every creature, no matter how small, should be treated with respect and kindness. The current practices in the cosmetic industry greatly upset me because numerous animals are subjected to painful tests for the sake of beauty products. Every year, it's estimated that more than 100 million animals are used in laboratory experiments in the U.S. alone, many of these experiments are for cosmetics testing (Source: Humane Society International).

Such tests are not just cruel, but also scientifically unnecessary. With today's technology, alternative testing methods are available that don't harm animals and are often more reliable (Source: FDA). It's time to make a change and stop this inhumane practice.
