PFA (People For Animals) in India has been authorized by the Indian government to perform free sterilization surgery to stray dogs at hospitals all over the country. However citizens began noticing that the PFA workers were instead killing these stray dogs in vast numbers. When these PFA workers were asked why this is happening, their reply was simply "Because we work for money, not for the dogs!" PFA is supposed to provide proper post operative care after sterilization surgery and then take the dogs back to their original location after their wounds heal. Sadly none of the intended authorized and humane government procedures are being adhered to under the abhorrent actions of PFA workers.

The hospitals do not perform any blood tests before surgery, and do not provide any pain killers or antibiotics after surgery. They also do not treat the dogs for any pre-existing medical conditions, rather perform surgery regardless of whether or not their bodies can handle it. After the dogs are operated on and are left in a weakened state with stitches, they are stuffed into small cages intended for only one dog, but often are packed with as many as five other dogs.

If a dog dies for any reason, PFA workers say it was the result of the surgery, and not their obvious neglectful and abusive treatment. Thousands of dogs end up dead at the hands of PFA workers daily, as you can see in the horrifying video shared here. Let's stop this torture of India's street dogs by PFA staff and demand more caring and humane treatment for man's best friend from the Indian government!
