ICE will soon be equipped with gloves that deliver a painful and debilitating electric shock to anyone agents grab.  

The Department of Homeland Security has proposed spending as much as $20 million (our taxpayer dollars) on the Generated Low Output Voltage Emitters, or G.L.O.V.E.s, in spite of the injury and death ICE has already caused to immigrants and American citizens alike. 

ICE agents are masked and armed, equipped with pepper spray and battering rams, and routinely drag people from their cars or throw people to the ground, and of course, sometimes they shoot them. ICE agents write their own warrants, disregard Constitutional rights, and have been granted broad immunity from any consequences for their violent behavior.  

To give them yet another tool for intimidating and inflicting pain on a civilian population, and to spend such a sum to do it when Americans are struggling, is grotesque. We call for the proposal to purchase the CTG-5 G.L.O.V.E from Compliant Technologies to be withdrawn and for this new outrage to be prevented.
