Subject: Dua Zahra Case.
Dear Sir,
Current judicial proceedings in this matter have been no less than mockery of Pakistan.
Thus far, decisions passed by the judges and procedures in this matter have come across as if the Pakistani judiciary is supportive of the heinous crimes of Human/Sex Trafficking, Abduction, Rape and Child Marriages.
We believe that the judicial system of Pakistani was designed to provide justice and penalize these heinous crimes, yet we are beginning to feel insecure and loosing
hope in the system. The justice system of Pakistan has been disappointing, as we observe the recent judgements and proceedings on this matter and others of similar nature.
We are Pakistani and have the right to be proud of our country. At this time, we feel embarrassed and disappointed with regards to the judicial system of Pakistan.
We would like to reinstate our trust in the judiciary and want this matter resolved in the most efficient and just manner.
Canadian community is under severe anxiety at this time that Dua Zahra case is now as clear as day light, all the evidences are there & it has been medicalized as well in which the age of Dua Zahra determind as fourteen years, it has also been proved that accused Zaheer, Shabbir and her mother Noor Bibi kidnapped Dua Zahra from Karachi and took them over to Lahore.
All the evidences of the incident have been found, so the role of the Sessions Court, High Court and the Police has not been satisfactory in all these situations.
The case is clear if the Sessions Court gives a decision in favor of Mehdi Kazmi as was the decision of the MLO but the High Court rejected that decision. Is it fair that a young girl should be abused and her parents should keep stumbling and disrespecting her at the same time ?
State institutions seem to be supporting criminals.
Looking at the court proceedings, one can say with certainty that the judges and the police are under the pressure of this group and this group is not allowing the judges to fulfill the demands of justice. We demand the Government of Pakistan, Prime Minister Mr. Shahbaz Sharif, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief Justice of Pakistan to solve this case immediately, by establishing a special court for it and to announce the verdict within ONE MONTH at most— it should have never taken this long!
Dua Zahra should be handed over to Mehdi Kazmi immediately.
If the government institutions support the criminals in the same way, then we, as being international community has full right to protest, similarly as we did in past, a non-stop demonstration will be held in the city of Toronto.
We hope you will consider our submissions and solve this case on urgent basis.
This is not Dua Zahra's case anymore, it has become the case of every Pakistani daughter.
