Stop �  The homeless encampment our mayor wants to put Next DOOR to 2 SCHOOLS and our backyards!!!

Sign this petition to stop the homeless encampment from entering our backyards and schools. They are locating it on Crown Street In Nashua . This encampment will be only feet an elementary school, Dr. Norman W. Crisp. and Clearway HighSchool ,also to our Arlington community center and a field/park that is used during the mornings for our seniors to walk safely with there dogs and for kids to play weekly sports. 

It is less than a 2 min walk where this encampment will be from all of these.

Here an access up to Gillis street that heads right to the parks and school

There are multiple accesses to the school and the neighborhood. Fences will be cut and yards will be cut through because The Main entrance to the encampment is off of crown street it has a decent size hill to hike up every day. If you don't have a vehicle you are going to go the shortest way in walking distance and not the main road. The front entrance is it about 0.4 of a mile to the school about a 7 minute walk. 

If you leave the back half of the encampment it's a 2 minute and 19 second walk to get to the school and the fields. The city seems to think it is far enough from the school and the abutting neighbors. From the health department statements they have been clear in their own words that they are aware of the drug use with some of the people that will be located here.  There is a interview with the city health department below I have a link where she does mention this. They are placing drugs on our street's feet away from schools that are a DRUG FREE ZONE and fields that are used every day for sports. Putting up needle boxes is their solution for that, unfortunately that is not enough to keep anyone safe from any of that being left around at the school or fields.

Kids walk and ride their bikes in this neighborhood. People like to walk their dogs all hours of day. So many trick or treaters come down these roads. This is not the location for this. The city needs to act and do better. 

Adding this encampment would have a great impact on the surrounding community as a whole in a very Negative way. Property Values!!! The school ratings, to local businesses like our corner stores, pizza and car dealerships in the area. 

The DISREGARD of the SAFETY of our CHILDREN is Atrocious. This needs to be stopped and we need to act now!!!
