We have reached our initial goal of 2,000 signatures!! But we are still going strong on our efforts to prevent Home Depot from destroying our neighborhood North Hills Shopping Center. We are currently trying to get the City of Los Angeles to require Home Depot to file a full Enviornmental Impact Report (EIR). This can only be accomplished with the help of our local governmental officials.
Taking action was the Granada Hills South Neighborhood Council and the Granada Hills North Neighborhood Council both voting unanimously that the City of Los Angeles require a full Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed Home Depot project at the North Hills Shopping Center. The Council District 12 office has not replied to the councils request for an EIR or expressed their support for the EIR.
The Los Angeles City primary nominating election will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The candidates for our LA City Council District 12 seat are preparing their position papers regarding the proposed Home Depot project.
