The proposed Hillcrest PUD plans to build 1725 home on 466 acres off of FL-46. We are deeply concerned about the following issues:

1. Environmental Impact: The development of Hillcrest PUD threatens our local ecosystems, wildlife habitats, and the preservation of natural landscapes. We fear that the project may lead to irreversible damage to our environment.

2. Increased Traffic Congestion: The addition of new residences and commercial spaces will inevitably result in a significant increase in traffic congestion in Sorrento. Our existing road infrastructure is already strained, and this development will exacerbate the problem.

3. Strain on Public Services: Our town's public services, such as schools, healthcare facilities, and public safety resources, are currently stretched thin. The introduction of a large-scale development like Hillcrest PUD will further strain these essential services and negatively impact their quality.

4. Loss of Community Character: Sorrento has a unique and cherished community character, which we are afraid will be eroded by the urbanization brought by Hillcrest PUD. We value our rural atmosphere and wish to preserve it for future generations.

Our community's well-being, environment, and future are at stake. We need to ban together as a community and prevent this project from moving forward.
