As vocal and concerned residents of Hampton Village, we are deeply troubled by a recent development in our community. A vape shop has recently opened its doors near the tranquil Village Green - a hub attended by families and children. What's more distressing is the shop's persistent attempts to secure an alcohol license, initially rejected but shockingly reapplied for, with intentions to serve alcohol from as early as 7am.

Our concerns extend far beyond mere aesthetic disturbance. Local schools and parents are incredibly apprehensive about the potential influence that such an establishment will have on our children and teenagers. We fear this will undoubtedly increase the probability of underage drinking and vaping in the area - a notion we cannot stand idle to. There is also an increased risk of antisocial behaviour that compromises the peace in our community. 

This is a significant issue that should not be taken lightly. We urge the relevant authorities to consider our plea and act in favour of the long-term wellbeing of our community, by denying the alcohol license to this vape shop in Hampton Village.
