Stop Games Workshop's greedy business practices.

Stop Games Workshop's greedy business practices.
The Issue
Warhammer is a community. At least, I'd like to think so. But Games Workshop don't see us that way, but instead as cash cows. Warhammer has repeatedly been shown to improve mental health with painting, encourage reading, and bring people together who might otherwise be stuck inside 24/7 with no socialisation. But that's slowly costing us more and more, with no real reason for prices to rise beyond corporate greed.
Every year, Games Workshop achieve record profits, as shown in their publicised financial reports. And yet they feel the need to raise their prices further under the pretence of "we're struggling with the rising costs", despite this clearly not being the case. Not only that, but we've seen them make decisions that are clearly made for the shareholders and not the consumers. They've repeatedly shown that they don't care about the community, from their overbearing policies on fanmade content to the way they react about 3rd party bits to even some of the modern lore. Everything they've done as of late is aimed at milking us of money which we have little to spare. For instance, unless you've designed and 3D printed it yourself, Games Workshop won't allow you to play in any official tournaments if your model contains non-GW bits. This means if I buy a cool-looking helmet off of, say Etsy, that model is now barred from all official tournaments. This is both unfair and unhealthy for the community, as it severely reduces the narrative potential of a model to just what GW have made. In a hobby like Warhammer, narrative is a major part of building and painting models for so many people. And if that wasn't enough, many kits that work for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer The Horus Heresy are being separated into one game system or the other, meaning that many people bought a kit for one game system only for it to be useless.
If we don't act soon, they will keep getting away with this, again and again and again, slowly ruining the hobby we love until nothing remains. Prices will rise further, lore will go down the drain, and model designs will suffer too. We'll all leave as we watch the ship sink on one of the greatest hobbies currently available. I'm not willing to watch it just die, all because of some greedy corporate always wanting more and more. I'm not going to pretend to be some expert in business, but I believe that GW need to stop it with the rampant greed before the hobby sinks like the Titanic.
