Hello Supporters,

Thank you again for all of your support! Since starting the petition this week, we have been able to secure 40 signatures so far which is already a great achievement for Week 1.

As a result of this momentum and us spreading awareness for the proposed Child Welfare & Parental Consent Act Bill, we have been engaged by Chairman Gunter (House of Representatives) and are currently scheduled to meet with him on Wednesday, July 16th at the State Capitol to further discuss the proposed bill, our petition and have a productive conversation overall towards getting this bill sponsored by the Judiciary Committee and/or Juvenile Justice Committee for the 2026 session.

We will provide an additional update after the meeting occurs next week.
