Info You Can Use on FL HB 543 (2023)

Thank you!  By signing "Stop Florida's Permitless Carry Law," you have honored the lives lost at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland FL five years ago today.  And their family members and fellow students who have done so much to make us all safe.

Information you can use:   If Florida's HB 543 passes, a person would be able to carry a gun without the background check, the 2 day training in firearm law and care of a firearm, and the shooting practice, that are now required by law. 

Yes, legal gun purchase still requires a background check  But many guns circulating in Florida are stolen and re-sold, gifted, sold privately or "borrowed" from family members.

Can you take the next step and speak with family members and friends, or call your Florida legislators?  Tell them it makes sense to stop HB 543.
