As students and parents of Pasco County, Florida, we are standing up against the new cell phone policy that would prohibit cell phone use in school. We are asking to use our phones responsibly in class, with our teacher's permission. Our goal is to make learning better, use technology wisely, and stay connected.

Right now with this new phone ban, we can't easily talk to our families or use online resources during school hours. We want to be able to use our phones for appropriate reasons, like looking up information, emergencies, and things our teacher says are okay.

Stopping this new cell phone ban would help us stay in touch with our families, use helpful online resources for learning, work better together on projects, and maybe even listen to music while we study, which studies say can help!

And because phones are becoming important in education everywhere, we think this rule change could be good for all of Florida, not just Pasco County. By signing this petition, we're showing that we want to use technology responsibly and make our classrooms better places to learn.

According to fnu.edu it says “Music is found to help people perform better in high-pressure situations, such as the bi-annual high-pressure event that is finals week.” This shows that’s music helps with work.

Change from Pasco to Florida because it’s now a state law.
