Thank you for supporting this petition. Unfortunately instead of working towards mitigating climate change, SRP is tying its customers’ futures to more and more fossil fuels. SRP’s Integrated System Plan (ISP) calls for future needs to be met primarily via 2000 MW of new gas generation capacity and with no plans for retiring Springerville coal fired generating station 4 – the board will vote on this on Monday, Oct 2, 2023. SRP has the weakest carbon goals amongst Arizona utilities. Would greatly appreciate if you would please join me in signing this Sierra Club petition asking the SRP Board to reject the Integrated System Plan.
