Stop the Pedestrianisation of Filwood Broadway – Support Local Businesses!

As a business owner on Filwood Broadway, I am deeply concerned about the proposed road changes, cycle path, and restricted parking. These plans will have a devastating impact on local traders and our customers.

A cycle path along the Broadway will not bring safety – it will become a dangerous rat run for electric bikes, scooters, and motorbikes, creating chaos rather than improving the area. Meanwhile, limited parking will drive customers away, leaving traders without business and residents struggling to find spaces near their homes.

We, the traders, have invested years into revitalising this area, creating a thriving local hub. Now, our livelihoods are being disregarded in favour of plans that fail to consider the realities of Filwood. Why were we not consulted? Why are our voices being ignored?

If this goes ahead, businesses will suffer, and the local economy will be hit hard. We demand that the council reconsider and work with us, not against us.
