A month on from our Parliament Lobbying Day and delivering this petition to Downing Street, our fight is still getting press coverage.

Earlier this week, one of our new Mums On A Mission, Gemma who joined the campaign in May after attending our ‘Make Childcare Work’ campaign day in Manchester, met with BBC News to talk about the struggles with childcare, particularly over the summer holiday period, which government funding does not cover (term time only). 

Having to spend £60 myself recently for an additional morning session to attend an interview, which I am not eligible to claim back from the Job Centre - costs quickly mount up. Not to mention keeping my tot entertained for the next 6 weeks. 

It was also great to see another of our new Mums On A Mission Emma Wise, featured in both the Metro and on single parent app Frolo.
