And Another One Bites The Dust...

So it would appear Amber Rudd has resigned (again, remember Windrush?!? Or was she fired that time?). Either way, that’s now the second Secretary’s of State for Work& Pensions gone since the start of the ‘Make Childcare Work’ Campaign & this petition launch- not to mention a new Prime Minister added to the mix!

As Queen would so eloquently have put it, “....And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust”. 

Let’s hope it will be third time lucky with someone who genuinely cares about women’s equality as more than simply a political soundbite but actual polices. One that has compassion for the ordinary working families and people in Britain paying the human cost of Welfare Reform! 

It’s has to be said, her loyalty to her colleagues is admirable and that she is no longer willing to sit back and watch as, “an act of political vandalism” takes place.

Shame that sentiment wasn’t shared for people suffering unfairly under Universal Credit or the Windrush Scandal for that matter! 

Here’s hoping in the words of De La Soul that 3 is the magic number.
