As we enter this new year we face an important fight ahead. Since our last update, the Undue Preference rule - which is the basis of our petition - has left the Office of Management and Budget and been returned to the USDA. We are now awaiting publication of this proposed rule.

This is an important step. You stood up for animals, farmers, and the environment by signing our petition. We delivered this petition to the USDA and now will see if they listened to us or bowed to Corporate pressure. We’ll find out once the rule is published.

When the proposed rule is made available, there will be an opportunity to make public comments. We will notify you when this happens and circulate a link where you can directly respond to the proposed rule. These comments are recorded in the Federal Register of the National Archives. This is the way you can take a stand on record and in history. These comments will be available to view in perpetuity and will show officials what everyday Americans want from their government. It’s an opportunity to make your voice heard equal to that of Big Corporate interests.

As we move into 2020, resolve to stand against Corporate abuse and exploitation. Stand up for animals, farmers, and the environment when the opportunity presents itself.
