مجیدرضا رهنورد، ۲۳ ساله، بامداد دوشنبه ۲۱ آذرماه در خیابانی در شهر مشهد و «در ملاعام» به دار آویخته شده است و قوه قضائیه ایران تصاویری از لحظه اعدام او با حضور نیروهای امنیتی که صورتهایشان را پوشاندند منتشر کرد
اعدام مجیدرضا رهنورد، ۵ روز پس از اعدام محسن شکاری، یکی از معترضان بازداشت شده در تهران اجرا شد و ساعاتی قبل از اجرای حکم اعدام در شهر مشهد تجمعاتی در اعتراض به اعدام محسن شکاری برگزار شده بود
