Stop Excessive Spending on Freebee Transportation in Our City

The Issue

As a concerned citizen witnessing the misuse of our city's scarce resources, I am prompted to take action. Our city is on the verge of spending $770,000 of taxpayers' money towards Freebee transportation services - a strikingly large amount for public transportation in any city across the United States. While these funds are being funneled towards one aspect, our existing issues, notably our sewer systems, are being grossly neglected.

The irony here is that we currently have two community-rooted companies providing transportation for TIPS ONLY, prospering and offering their services for over 15 years. Besides, we also utilise the broader public transport channels of Uber, Lyft, and Sunrunner. Therefore, this excessive amount intended for Freebee becomes a pressing concern.

The city does not have this abundance of spare finance. Taxpayers' dollars need to be employed where they bring about the most societal impact. The recklessness of this spending is gravely concerning for the welfare of our city and the value of our hard-earned money.

By signing this petition, you stand with us in opposing this unfounded spending, supporting instead the allocation of these resources towards more pressing, urgent civic needs. Your signature can trigger the change towards a fiscally responsible city administration. Please sign this petition now.
