This boy was rescued from a pound in Merseyside and made his way down to us in Kent this morning. He is the goofiest, loveliest and most handsome boy.

He is around two years old and tested well with other dogs in the pound.

Fetcherdog are a dog rescue centre in Kent that get requests, on a daily basis, asking to take in dogs that have been abandoned. They are a small family run run charity that only have kennel space for forty dogs. They have to turn down dogs all the time which means those dogs will, inevitably, be put to sleep.

They do not receive local government support but rely on donations from individuals.

The system is full of unwanted dogs, please put pressure on your local councils to look into the systems and practices of breeders who discard the dogs when not required, individuals who dump dogs because they require medical care or simply do not want them and systems that allow dogs to be euthanised.
