On February 21st 2024 the attempts to stop Mr. Eshagh Ghalibaf entering Canada came to a victorious end.

Mr. Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship announced:

"On Feb. 6th, the permanent residency application of Eshagh Ghalibaf, the son of Iran’s Speaker of Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, was refused. The Iranian regime has engaged in acts of terrorism and systemic human rights violations. We stand with the people of Iran."
