Stop Enforced Disappearances and Extrajudicial Killings in Baluchistan, Pakistan

Stop Enforced Disappearances and Extrajudicial Killings in Baluchistan, Pakistan

The Issue

Last month, Balach Khan, a resident of Turbat Baluchistan, was tragically killed in what has been described as a fake encounter while in the custody of the Counter Terrorism Department. This is not an isolated incident but part of a larger pattern of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings that have been plaguing Baloch people for years. In response to this tragedy, brave women from Baloch undertook a long march covering 1600 KM from Baluchistan to Islamabad seeking justice. Instead of being welcomed with understanding and compassion, they were met with force by state authorities. These peaceful protestors were treated like criminals; many were unjustly named terrorists and jailed without even having an FIR filed against them.

This petition is deeply personal to me as I believe it's our duty to condemn human rights violations wherever they occur. The situation in Pakistan is dire; these are not just numbers or statistics but real people whose lives are being torn apart due to these atrocities.

We urge the international community and human rights organizations worldwide to pressure the Pakistani government into taking immediate action against these enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. We demand justice for victims like Balach Khan and countless others who have lost their lives due to this senseless violence.

Please sign this petition today – let us stand together against human rights violations in Pakistan!
