Another family has paid an unimaginable price.

Robert Sabat had been imprisoned for knife possession and harassment. He was released early.

Just 11 days later, he murdered 42-year-old mum-of-two Dickiesa Nurse in her own home.

Dickiesa was a mother. She had a family who loved her. She should still be here.

This is exactly why I started my petition. Early release isn’t just about prison numbers and overcrowding — there are real people and real families whose safety can be put at risk.

Survivors and the public deserve to feel protected.
