All, Planning Commission will be reviewing Owens Glen on July 23rd, 4:30pm at County Square on University Ridge. The parking garage is accessible from Church Street. The main crosswalk access is on the 4th floor of the garage and the Committee Room is in Building 1.

In the meantime, please email the Planning Commission, County Council, and Subdivision Administration your concerns and let them know you are AGAINST this development. Owens Rd and Flat Rock Rds are Rural, the roads cannot handle the traffic of 286 home, there are site visibilty concerns, no road shoulders, and roads that are too narrow for emergency vehicles. 

Rural means our area is meant for a lower housing density. Per the Piedmont Plan, Rural Areas are designated for 1 house per 2 acres. Owens Glen is proposing a density of 2.5 houses per acre which is clearly out of line with our Rural Area designation. 

Planning Commission needs to take a stance and DENY the Owens Glen subdivision.
