Hey guys! I could really use your help; A friend of mine, Cheryl Welch, recently lost her dog and best friend, Bagherra, to congestive heart failure. This is what she had to say on the matter:

"I started this petition because not only am I a grieving pet lover, but I also am an advocate for animals. If he is able to continue his standard practice, animals and pet owners will suffer terror and injustice.

My dog Bagherra was 14 years old with congestive heart failure He didn’t bark or growl and was friendly with everyone. I never expected a vet to tie a shoestring on my dogs maw, cutting off his airway.

The vet, Dr. Fallen, claimed it was a soft muzzle. It was not necessary and it was excessive. Bagherra was extremely ill. If the vet was scared and needed to be cautious, he should have used a sedative.

I screamed and left the vet. That was not going to be my last memory with my best friend, a shoelace around his maw while being that sick.

I went to a different vet where my pet peacefully passed on without any shoes laces and with a proper amount of sedation.

Please help me stop this cruelty. He will restrain any pet while euthanizing them. Is that the last memory anyone wants to have with their loved ones?"
