(1)  CALL the Consolidated Gravity Drainage District #1 @ 985-542-4292 or email via their website: http://www.tangipahoadrainage.org/contact.html to voice your concerns over the impact Dollar General will have on Hwy 22 & Dutch Lane drainage (see picture posted with this update).

“I am asking The Drainage District board of commissioners to OPPOSE the proposed Dollar General store on the corner of Hwy 22 W & Dutch Lane in Ponchatoula. This area would suffer negative impacts in relation to drainage. Since new development along Hwy 22 W has been rapid, drainage is an issue for many residents. Can I count on your commitment to OPPOSE construction of a new Dollar General store on Hwy 22 to alleviate any drainage issues for the residents in this area?”

(2) ATTEND the Drainage District Hearing on FEBRUARY 15th (Wed) @ 5PM located at 48571 Hwy 51; Tickfaw, LA 70466. Please make every effort to attend this meeting; send at least 1 person from your household. You are NOT required to speak about drainage issues, but you are encouraged to share your concerns if you feel the need.
