A Tacoma man is under arrest and 49 pit bulls have been rescued after authorities busted an illegal dog fighting and breeding operation at the man's residence, sheriff's officials said.

The 40-year-old man was initially contacted after Pierce County Animal Control received a tip that multiple pit bulls living at a residence in Tacoma appeared to be starving and were possibly being used for breeding, said Ed Troyer of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

He needs to be held accountable and punished to the full extent of the law!! Now that President Trump made animal cruelty a FEDERAL CRIME it's  time to put that law into action! Hold this man accountable and make him an example of what happens when cruel people do such things.
