I am writing this petition with a heavy heart from Quetta, Balochistan. Being the only person in this region actively rescuing and caring for stray dogs, I have seen firsthand the immense love and loyalty these animals offer to those who are willing to show them compassion. Sadly, a wave of dog culling has swept across Quetta and other parts of Balochistan, threatening these innocent lives.

Dog culling is presented as a solution to control stray populations, but it is inhumane and ineffective. There are more ethical and successful methods of controlling stray populations, such as engaging in mass vaccination and sterilization programs, promoting adoption, and raising awareness about animal rights and responsibilities. Additionally, trained animal control teams can be deployed to handle strays and ensure the safety of both animals and residents.

According to World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, vaccination and sterilization are effective in controlling rabies and reducing stray populations. Countries like India and Thailand have seen remarkable results through such initiatives, and we can learn from their examples to bring about real change.

It's essential to understand that every living creature has the right to live. By stopping dog culling and instead embracing humane measures, we can create a community that values life, compassion, and coexistence.

Let us come together to urge the authorities in Quetta and Balochistan to halt the culling of dogs immediately. Let's demand the implementation of ethical animal control methods that solidify our commitment to humane treatment of all beings.
