Discord will slowly be transitioning their unique (and diverse) array of username choices within the coming weeks/months. They will be getting rid of discriminators from their usernames (ex: Jane#3592) and make their usernames like Twitter.

Discord will be putting your current primary name as your display name instead so acquaintances and friends still recognize you during this change (your nickname(s) in servers will still be there).

Older accounts will be getting top priority and will get to choose new primary names before people with younger accounts. So if your username really is Jane and your account is from 2021, say goodbye.

Stop this change! If its unavoidable, Discord, at least let us keep our primary names during this transition. It isn't fair almost all of us have to come up with new usernames we've had for years!
