⚠️URGENT: 17 Townhouses Proposed on Eruini Street, Waikanae Beach ⚠️

Developers Palmer & Cook are proposing to build 17 townhouses across 16, 18, and 20 Eruini Street at Waikanae Beach.

We are deeply concerned about the scale and impact of this development on our coastal community.

👉 Jamming in 17 double story townhouses on a small site in a quiet beach suburb.

👉 Our infrastructure, medical services, schools, transport, waste water, and amenities are already under pressure.

👉 This development is out of character with the area and threatens our local wildlife, environment, and lifestyle.

👉This development is not located near a transport hub and the nearest school and supermarkets are 5-6kms away.

We demand the council offers public or limited notification to those affected so we as a community have some input.

We’ve seen the consequences of overdevelopment elsewhere—let’s not let Waikanae Beach be next.

This petition is about protecting the unique character and wellbeing of Waikanae Beach, and setting a precedent against inappropriate developments in our district.

Please sign and share this petition to show your support. Time is of the essence.
