Since the passage of Florida's "Don't Say Gay" legislation, the Walt Disney Company had taken an assertive stand on behalf of diversity and inclusion. Throughout it's 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, 25 resort hotels and the Disney Springs shopping and dining area, The Walt Disney World Resort welcomes over 56 million guests every year from throughout the world to a safe and inclusive environment. Because of this, Florida governor Ron DeSantis has directly retaliated against the Company, removing it's special status, and passed legislation which threatens to shut down daily park operations within a matter of weeks. Ron DeSantis has proposed new building codes which would, when enforced, drastically transform the resort and halt many of it's daily operations. Further, he has proposed fines against individuals, including guests and their children for unspecified reasons. Because of this, the employment of 77,000 Cast Members directly, and hundreds of thousands more throughout central Florida are in jeopardy, along with the 2.1 billion dollars in state taxes and 18.2 billion dollar impact Disney makes to the economy of the region. .This will not only directly impact Guests ttat visit the resort, but cast members and shareholders.

We are petitioning the legal team at The Walt Disney Company to be included as class action litigants in the upcoming legal proceedings against the state of Florida. Further, we are seeking the remedy of a temporary injunction until this matter may be heard in a court of law and an investigation by the United States Department of Justice into potential charges of abuse of power by Governor Ron DeSantis.
