Thousands of products contain palm oil taken from the habitat where many orangutans live and survive.

The length of 300 football fields of rain forest is cleared each hour to make way for palm oil production. In total around 50 million tons of palm oil is produced annually. If we keep going this way it is estimated that orangutans will be extinct within the next 25 years!

There are many alternatives instead of using palm oil, such a vegetable oil and even if they are unable to use vegetable oil they need to use less amounts of palm oil.
