The Issue

Complaints made falling on deaf ears !

For over three years now, I've witnessed the heartbreaking loss of more than 30 deer within our community. In, on and around my yard. These magnificent creatures are not just numbers. They were part of the ecosystem surrounding my home, offering beauty and a connection to nature. Seeing them suffer from poisoning, stumbling around our properties sick and lethargic, has been not only distressing but profoundly disturbing.

Despite reporting these incidents to Fish and Game three months ago, the issue persists. This is a call to action to save the lives of the remaining deer population and prevent further harm. Our community deserves to coexist peacefully with the deer, and they deserve to thrive without the threat of cruel and illegal poisoning.

The use of poison poses significant risks not just to wildlife, but also potentially to pets and, by extension, humans who frequent these areas. By addressing this issue now, we can protect our wildlife and preserve the environmental balance in our community.

I urge local authorities and community leaders to increase monitoring and patrols to identify and prosecute those responsible for these acts of cruelty. The implementation of stricter penalties for animal cruelty and the establishment of wildlife corridors safe from such threats could be a meaningful step forward.

Support this petition to bring about change and protect our local wildlife. The more the community voices its disapproval and stands against these heinous acts, the stronger the message we send that animal cruelty has no place in our community.

Sign this petition to demand action now before more innocent lives are lost.
