This petition is a written request for the reunification of Leslie Brown and his children.  Mr. Brown has complied with the DCF service plans and has completed all tasks independently.  Mr. Brown has demonstrated responsibility, accountability and safety, therefore he must now be allowed to parent his children independently.   Mr Brown has continued to maintain active participation in NA and has a clear understanding of sobriety, of recovery and of what needs to be done on a daily basis in order maintain his healthy status.  Mr. Brown has been working as a recovery tech, thereby assisting others to maintain sobriety with the goal of achieving recovery.  He independently accomplished his own recovery before DCF had listed recovery as a service plan task. Mr. Brown has consistently demonstrated safe, appropriate and responsible parenting skills and is very invested in his children's health, well being and safety.  Mr Brown has a clear understanding of being a single parent, and he is committed to being an ever present, safe, responsible, loving and nurturing parent.
