The Issue

David Spence, a property owner in Bishop Arts, is showing no regard for the welfare of our local cats. He has been observed trapping the neighborhood cats and dumping them miles away from their homes. This cruel act leaves these creatures without access to food, water, or shelter, breaching animal welfare laws and objectives. The notion that a person can continue to conduct such malicious acts, even after numerous requests to desist, is truly distressing.

Our beloved cats are a vital part of the fabric of Oak Cliff. They hold a special place in our hearts and we are dedicated to their wellbeing. It is incomprehensible to us as a community that an individual can so callously disregard their welfare.

Unfortunately, the harm doesn't stop at the individual. Removing trap-neuter-return (TNR) cats creates a vacuum effect: as soon as those cats are removed, new ones move in for the resources available. This process keeps the cycle of feral cats perpetuating.

We need your support to let David Spence know that we will not stand for his actions and he is not above the law. We need to come together as a community to protect our feline friends. Please lend your voice to our cause: demand that David Spence stops this cruel and harmful behavior immediately. Sign our petition today.
