The Aurora City Council approved a 6-month moratorium for Data Centers to provide time to develop guidelines to address various concerns.

Staff has made some recommendations based on best practices. An informational meeting and a Public Hearing were held to provide information regarding the proposed regulations and to get input from residents.

The Public Hearing is not yet closed which will provide more time to gather more input. The proposed changes will need to be reviewed by two separate city committees.

Proposed changes are not yet final. After the Moratorium, Data Centers will be voted on individually.
