Stop Data Center Runoff in Virginia
The Issue
I refuse to stand by and watch Virginia be harmed any more than it already has been by Amazon and the over 400 data centers across our state. My wife and I got married here on Lake Anna, and this place is home to many wonderful people who dedicate their lives to protecting this land. Our beautiful South Side is already feeling the effects, with warming waters impacting the environment and community. Tell Jeff Bezos to pay to transport his DIRTY DATA CENTER WATER ELSEWHERE.
Every time I see the damage caused by these manmade sources, I'm reminded of how precious our land and natural resources are. The words of Dr. Seuss resonate deeply: “Until someone like you cares a whole, awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” We have to act before it's too late to protect the future of our state.
Expanding nuclear projects like this will only increases the risk to our environment and health. It’s not just about today but for generations to come, who deserve a safe and thriving home. Virginia's natural beauty and the well-being of its citizens shouldn't be compromised for short-term gains.
We need to halt any new data center developments and invest in sustainable alternatives. Our focus should be on renewable energy sources that provide clean, safe power without the looming threats of environmental disaster or nuclear incidents.
It’s time to put pressure on our lawmakers to prioritize the environment and public health. Let us come together to demand action. Sign this petition to join our call for change and ensure that Virginia remains a vibrant and safe place for all of us. Protect our environment. Stand with us.
