The relevant action was granted by an comisiun pleanala on the 17th July 2025.

This allows the use of the north runway from 6 am until 12pm - an extra two hours of night time use and places a fleet movement limit of approximately 98 flights per night on aircraft movements during night time hours. This is an increase on the previously granted 65 as part of the original 2007 north runway planning permission.

For only 6 hrs per day towns like Ratoath and Ashbourne will not suffer noise pollution from the DAA. 

Given the DAA was granted everything they asked for...WITH NO CONSIDERATION FOR ANYONE IN EAST MEATH OR NORTH COUNTY DUBLIN

There is a final chance for change.

The only way to challenge this is in the courts with a judicial review.

If not challenged it may as well be accepted that this is the inevitable status quo and the noise at night from aircraft that anyone experiences at present is about to get a whole lot worse.

All of this requires funding to cover legal costs, expert opinions and reports.

There is an 8 week time line to lodge this JR (judicial review) so time is seriously against us to raise these funds in time.
