I was shocked to learn in QEH Junior School in Bristol about the destruction of palm oil trees and the devastating consequences for the orang-utans that live there. I saw a documentary about how bulldozers cut and burn down the trees and how orang-utans lose their parents and their homes in this process. The pictures of the sad orang-utan-children impacted me massively. I learnt that almost every product I buy in the store contains palm oil. 

I started a physical petition at my school right away where I collected over 200 signatures. With extending my petition online, I hope to collect a lot more signatures. My intention is to put a huge pressure on companies to stop using dirty palm oil and instead at least process sustainable palm oil.
