I am a native of Pittsburgh, and a former resident of Mt. Lebanon, PA and shocked, saddened and upset by the culling of deer in my hometown.

Culling and euthanizing deer in over populated areas is not an effective method for handling the situation. It's a cruel and inhumane practice.  Also, This method is putting our community in harms way while demonstrating animal abuse to children. Another alternative would be birth control.It's safer and more effective while honoring wildlife.

Please stop Pennsylvania Game Commission, and Mt. Lebanon and Tioga County-based Wildlife Specialists, LLC from killing deer now.

FACT: Only 2 percent of the accidents involving injuries involve deer, which means 98 percent do not and this is not a reason to euthanize deer, and this is the biggest claim they have for culling and killing deer.
