Crisis pregnancy centers are putting women’s lives in danger, and it has to stop.

These centers often pose as real clinics, but now they’re being told not to perform ultrasounds when ectopic pregnancy is suspected. That’s not just irresponsible — it’s deadly. An ectopic pregnancy can rupture and cause massive internal bleeding. It cannot result in a living baby. Delaying proper medical care in these cases is a direct threat to life.

In Massachusetts, one woman nearly died because a center failed to diagnose her ectopic pregnancy. Her fallopian tube ruptured. She needed emergency surgery. And now, instead of fixing the problem, these centers are being told to do even less — all to avoid lawsuits.

They use warm language and promises of help, but turn women away when care is most critical. Some staff aren’t even medically trained. Others advertise “free ultrasounds” just to get women through the door.

This is not care. It’s cruelty.

We demand urgent regulation and oversight of crisis pregnancy centers. No more fake clinics. No more false advertising. No more putting beliefs above health and safety.

Women deserve real care, real protection, and real accountability.
