People involved and problems faced

Everyone in this world is getting affected by the pollution and bad air quality.

As per WHO (http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs206/en/)

"Between 100 and 150 million people around the globe -- roughly the equivalent of the population of the Russian Federation -- suffer from asthma and this number is rising. World-wide, deaths from this condition have reached over 180,000 annually."

Estimated prevalence of asthma in India is 2.05% among those aged >15 years, with an estimated national burden of 18 million asthmatics.

The Solution

Solutions are many but all the solutions have economic drawbacks and that stops the government from taking harsh decisions. Now, we all know that closing the fireworks industry can help a lot in saving the environment and child labor but no-one comes forward to take a call.

This petition is raised to the Government of India and PMO to take this harsh decision of closing down the fireworks industry and help saving in environment from getting polluted any further. This will help those children who are forced in this industry and end up losing their lives or having infections which stop them living a regular life (Check out the video link). These industries are clearly violating the Human Rights and I call all the human right activists and organisations to support this petition.

To the Citizens of India

Bursting crackers used to be a fun activity years ago when we had the luxury of breathing fresh air. Today due to all other factors, air quality has really gone down and now we all need to take a collective action against the pollution. Let's take a pledge that we will not burst the crackers this Diwali and save some fresh air for our lungs.
