It appears that while my evidence was "insufficient" in 2019, the pressure of Mr. Ethical's campaign was sufficient to bring a regulator back from the grave to write a check for three hundred million pounds.
The Double Standard
The tragedy here is not just that I lost my business. It is that the system has two speeds:
For the Banks/Citizens fighting "Quietly": Stonewalling, dismissal, and reliance on flawed paperwork.
For High-Profile Campaigns: A return from retirement, investigations reopened, and massive settlements paid out.
If the FCA could find millions of errors in HSBC's books after 15 years, why could they not find one simple fact in my case in 2019? Why couldn't they see that the "Court Orders" they relied on were as fictitious as the CII documents exposed in other scandals?
Justice is Overdue
Anthony Townsend may have found redemption for others after coming out of retirement, but for Anthony Badaloo, the door remains closed for now, although some meaningful concessions have been made.
