MAJOR SMALL BUSINESS RATES GRANT BREAKTHROUGH

A major victory has been scored on behalf of all UK Small Businesses, against an unfair and unjust irregularity, which  caused many to fail in the Covid-19 Virus Lockdown.

Thousands of commercial renters of office and other  spaces, have been told that they don't "qualify" for the grant, for the simple reason that they pay rates via their landlord, and don't have their own Business Rates number.

Petia Spassova, who runs Food Outlet  just2go Ltd. at the world famous Islington Market in London, approached Church Hill Finance in distress, after the COVID-19 Lockdown force closed her business and left her and her vulnerable family in difficulties.

Upon approaching the landlord and local authority, we were told that Ms Spassova and all similar victims, have "Fallen through the cracks".

Seeing the clear injustice, Church Hill Finance liaised with Naggshead Market and Islington Council, making the point that an irregularity in the administration, for the convenience of the landlord and council, cannot possibly be lawfully used as justification, to withhold funds in a national emergency.

And proceeded to file a claim regardless.

It must be mentioned that Nagshead Market did make a change of direction, and started the process to issue individual numbers, which will guarantee the receipt of the grant.

In the meantime, Ms Spassova had to deal with the stress and trauma of a prosecution from Enfield Council, and illegal bailiffs removing her car as a result of the irregularity.

The council has admitted that the prosecution was false, and Startline Motor Finance and the FCA are investigating the unlawful car removal, agreeing to halt the sale in the meantime.

Church Hill Finance has written to the FSB, and expect every small business in the UK, who have been unlawfully denied, to receive their Grant Funds, without further delay, preferably with costs, statutory interest, and damages where appropriate.
