Stop councils blocking access for residents in LTNs with permits for residents.

Stop councils blocking access for residents in LTNs with permits for residents.
The Issue
As we all know, Councils are introducing LTNs everywhere, restricting access for residents, making us drive further with longer driving times, more cars and pollution on boundary roads. They are saying they are benefiting residents and are expecting drivers to simply sell their cars and use public transport, cycle and walk. But many car drivers need their cars for work or important things and these extra distance journeys don't make sense. As Lambeth now want to install another LTN for the Brixton Hill area, where I live to mainly stop rat-run drivers, they are stopping vehicular access to all vehicles except emergency services and blue badge holders.
Many roads in London that have schools on them have time restricted access for a short period of time, morning and afternoon, with permitted access for vehicles with permits. This shows that the camera technology can be set for permits. So why not give all residents of their own LTN a permit registered to their property to allow them to use all camera restricted roads to access the LTN to get home. Lambeths research states that 15% of journeys currently in the LTN are residents, therefore the permits would still prevent 85% of rat-run vehicles from entering. Still providing safety, lower pollution etc for the LTN without penalising the residents. So please, let's get enough signatures with the hope that the government will force councils to give permits for residents of LTNs.
We need to act fast as these Low traffic neighbourhoods are now affecting residents that need to use their cars/ work vans etc or just want to drive in or out of their own area. This is in turn creating much more traffic on boundary roads and higher pollution on them too.
Please sign and share this everywhere so the people get a chance to enjoy the LTNS fully and not be disadvantaged and inconvenienced by them.
Thank you for your time.
