As a mother, I have personally experienced the devastating consequences of the corrupt practices within the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). My children have suffered severe trauma due to the fraudulent and mishandled actions of employees within the Florida Child Protective Services (CPS), the very individuals who are entrusted with the protection of children and the preservation of family integrity.

The current system is fraught with inefficiencies and systemic corruption that undermine its stated mission to safeguard children. The agencies, rather than functioning as a safety net, have become an entanglement of red tape and misguided protocols that end up tearing families apart rather than supporting them. Children are being removed from loving homes under questionable circumstances, causing emotional and psychological distress that can have long-lasting effects.

Evidence shows multiple instances where CPS workers have overstepped their boundaries, and investigations reveal cases closed without the thorough due diligence they require. According to a report by the Florida Institute for Child Welfare, instances of child separation have been on the rise, and there is a need for reform to ensure that only in cases of clear and present danger should such drastic measures be taken.

This petition calls for an independent investigation into the corrupt practices within the Florida DCF and immediate policy reform to ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to ethical guidelines that prioritize the well-being of children and families.

We need comprehensive training programs for caseworkers and the implementation of stricter oversight to prevent any abuse of power.
