Schools should be a safe haven for our children. School officials should set the example that violence is not how to resolve conflict. Educators should educate themselves on the negative effects that violence and humiliation have on a young persons education.
I urge you to re-introduce and pass the Ending Corporal Punishment in Schools Act Ref. H.R. 3027 as sponsored by U.S. Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY-4).
