Incident: American Airlines A321 near Wilmington on Apr 2nd 2019, fumes on the flight deck. After diverting, a replacement A321 reached Orlando with a delay of 5 hours:

’According to the Kansas State University Research there have been 5.3 Fume Events per 24,000 daily flights in the USA or 1,955 Fume Events a year. Only 6 Fume Events per year get reported to the FAA.’
